Psychological Testing
Our comprehensive testing process gives parents and kids the answers they need to common questions about things like learning disorders, executive functioning, and autism
We also support families by identifying recommendations for next steps at school, at home, and beyond
Therapy
For behavioral concerns, depression, trauma, and other more common pediatric issues
We offer both generalized care and focused programs for anxiety, OCD, and attention and behavior disorders
We utilize evidence-based interventions like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), parent management training (PMT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and others
Our therapists personalize interventions, measure outcomes, and work with families toward symptom reduction with a shared decision-making process
Therapists are licensed, have a either a doctorate or a master’s degree, and specialize in working with children, adolescents, and their families
Psychiatry/Medication
Our psychiatry teams partner with parents to determine whether medication is appropriate; it is usually recommended that the child receiving medication is also enrolled in therapy (at Brightline or elsewhere)
Psychiatry team members work closely with parents to provide clear direction on medication management, and close follow-up; they also collaborate with other care providers (e.g., PCP, therapists) to ensure the best care
Psychiatry providers are board-certified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and/or pediatricians with specialized training and experience in pediatrics
Brightline therapy, psychiatry, and medication management is available in NY, NJ, CT, MA, and WA. Brightline coaching is available in CA.

Kids and teens show significant overall improvement after receiving care through therapy with Brightline
The care we received through Brightline was top notch. The provider knew just how to help and incorporated my daughter's interests into therapy. Our provider had answers on how to help regulate emotions that we'd never considered. The whole process was super streamlined. I can't recommend Brightline enough!
Caregiver
Brightline has been a ray of light on our family! We communicate in healthier ways and work through each day and each problem without all the fussing. I'm so thankful for Lauren and the guidance she provided for my son and our family. Our care at Brightline is exceptional!
Caregiver
Working with our Brightline therapist has given my son new confidence that he can manage his anxiety through the different techniques given. He also has really benefited from having an adult who is not a parent to talk through his emotions and experiences.
Caregiver
My son was very nervous about therapy, but he instantly connected with his therapist and looked forward to chatting with her each week and telling others about his positive experience. I noticed improvements in his mood and behavior after only a few sessions. I'm very thankful for Brightline!
Caregiver
I highly recommend placing your child in the amazing care of Brightline's therapists. My child went from instantly aggressive with no remorse to the amazing kid I've always known he could be. I understand him in a better way with the insights provided to me from his therapist and I'm forever grateful. Can’t recommend this program enough.

What kind of support does Brightline provide?
We provide specialized therapy and psychiatry that involves parents and caregivers in their child’s journey. Everything you need is in one place — as your family’s needs change, your care plan will evolve with you.
All Brightline therapists use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in their approach. CBT is a science-backed treatment that helps your child explore their feelings and develop healthy ways of coping. And all Brightline psychiatrists are board certified and qualified to offer necessary treatments based on evidence-based practices.
How do I know if my child actually needs therapy?
Ask us! During your onboarding, we will do an in-depth assessment. We will gather details about your child’s developmental history, as well as any patterns or changes you’ve noticed. Together, we will decide whether it's the right time for therapy. If it is, we’ll create a personalized care plan — with your input — that works for your child and your family. And we’ll measure progress as it goes, making changes along the way as needed.
How do I know if Brightline therapists/psychiatrists are right for my child?
You talk with us and learn, that’s how! We do all of the research, interviewing, background checking, and vetting — so you don’t have to. Our hiring process helps us build a team of caring, individual therapists that are licensed, experienced, and qualified.
Is Brightline only virtual or can we meet my child’s therapist in person?
We are happy to be able to support our families both virtually and in-person in 2025. While we build out our in-person locations, we will deliver virtual care to families who live in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington State. We are working towards opening our first location in April, with two more to follow in the fall.
How much does it cost?
It depends. For most of our members, Brightline is covered by their employer or insurance — with no referrals needed. Check in sessions, therapy, and medication evaluation out-of-pocket costs can range from $235–$365.
We accept insurance from Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and many more. Our Member Support team can help verify whether Brightline is covered by your insurance. If Brightline isn't covered by your insurance, your family can still access all that Brightline has to offer.
Call our Member Support team for information on how to submit to your insurance, HSA, or FSA. Member Support is available Monday–Friday from 8am–7pm PST at 888-224-7332.
